We’ve already got four games down on the NFL Week 13 slate, but we’re ready for another helping on this Sunday. The early action set the stage with an AFC South rivalry game featuring the Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts, followed by the main event of the Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers, and we’ll cap it off on Sunday Night Football with the Denver Broncos at Washington Commanders.
Best Bets for Sunday NFL Week 13 Games
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts Odds: Colts (-4.5) – Total: 44.5
Pick: Dalton Schultz: Over 42.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
The Colts have been torched by opposing TEs this season, allowing the second-most receiving yards per game (72.2), to go along with the fourth-most targets (8.8) and fifth-most receptions (6.4). In fact, each of the last six teams to face Indy had a TE go over this mark of 42.5 receiving yards. Schultz had one of the worst matchups in the NFL in last week’s game against the Bills, as he finished with only one catch for eight yards. However, Schultz was rocking and rolling before that, going for 50+ in five of the previous six games. Houston is only a 4.5-point underdog, and it feels like this game could be right within its grasp. If that game script plays out, and this affair is competitive throughout, that probably means Schultz is going to make us some money.
Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers Odds: Bills (-3.5) – Total: 46.5
Pick: Kenneth Gainwell: Anytime Touchdown (+225)
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is 21-7-3 ATS as a home underdog, so I expect them to be very competitive, and maybe even win, on Sunday. If that’s the case, Pittsburgh is going to need to pound the ball in the running game. We just saw Sean Tucker of the Bucs go absolutely ballistic against this Bills’ defense two games ago, and I feel like Gainwell fits a very similar profile. This is a guy who has been involved a lot more in the Steelers’ offense over the last two weeks, with 19 carries (15 in the previous five games) and even five of them coming inside the red zone. A lot of eyes will be on fellow RB Jaylen Warren in this spot, but Gainwell is the one we want to back here.
Denver Broncos at Washington Commanders Odds: Broncos (-6) – Total: 43.5
Pick: Bo Nix: 3+ TD Passes (+280)
Alright, let’s cap off the holiday weekend with authority! Before last week’s game in Spain, the Commanders had allowed four straight QBs to throw for 3+ TDs against them. Nix isn’t necessarily lighting it up, but the Broncos are coming off their bye week with one of the best offensive minds in football (Sean Peyton) guiding the ship. We could easily go with the over on the standard 1.5 TD line (-137) and be fine and dandy, but I want to take a big swing here. Not to mention, the last time Washington was on Sunday Night Football, Sam Darnold absolutely torched these guys for four TDs in the first half!
