Thursday Night Football Picks: Jets vs. Patriots Best NFL Bets, Props & Predictions for Week 11

An AFC East clash on Thursday Night Football kicks off Week 11 of the NFL season, as the New York Jets take on the New England Patriots. Both teams come in hot, with the Jets’ humble two-game win streak being overshadowed by the Pats’ seven-game win streak. New England is a 12.5-point favorite, while the total currently sits at 43.5 points.

On paper, the Jets don’t stand much of a chance tonight, but we have seen some pretty big upsets (or near ones) over the last few weeks. Don’t count out these barking dogs as we’re in the midst of November, as certain teams will tend to turn it up late in the season when the elements change drastically. Nevertheless, I believe the Pats will take care of business and get out to a comfortable lead.

In this TNF preview, I’ll break down the top plays, props, and betting opportunities for tonight’s showdown, including takes on key players like Drake Maye, Breece Hall, and Hunter Henry.

Let’s take a look at what we have in store for the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Jets and Patriots from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

Best Bets for Thursday Night Football: New York Jets at New England Patriots

Drake Maye: Over 239.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The Patriots can ground the Jets any way they’d like but airing it out looks like their best bet this time around. New York hasn’t snagged an interception all season, so Maye should be ready to pick apart this secondary by whichever New England pass catchers are available for tonight’s game. More on that later.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the last time an opposing QB hit the over on his passing yards prop was way back in Week 3, when Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers squeaked out a win at the buzzer. With the Patriots’ RBs coming into tonight a bit banged up, expect the Patriots to lean on the passing game more than usual.

Maye’s been hot lately, throwing for 240+ yards in five of his last six outings—including each of the last three. Everyone will be on the Patriots tonight, and this is just another way to get in on the action.

Breece Hall: Over 16.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

It’s an all-hands-on-deck type of situation for the Jets tonight, but isn’t it always? Garrett Wilson will be out for this game, and the team already has Josh Reynolds on injured reserve, set to return soon – just not tonight.

The Patriots rank #1 in rushing defense (79.2 YPG), and the Jets have one of the most underperforming offensive lines in NFL history. Obviously, not a great matchup to begin with, but New York will likely be playing from behind the entire night, so they’ll need to get creative in how they move the football.

Hall has been forcibly productive in the passing game, and he even had a 42-yard catch that went to the house on Sunday against the Browns. I don’t love Hall’s rushing prop, but we can still be profitable with him in this regard.

Hunter Henry: Anytime Touchdown (+135)

The Patriots may not have as many players missing as the Jets, but you do have to wonder how much they’ll be used in a game like this. However, one of those players that could be missing is TE Austin Hooper, leaving Henry with a fair share of opportunities tonight.

Even better, New York has allowed seven TDs on 12 targets to the TE position this season. New England’s WRs have really emerged in the last few games, so Henry’s numbers have dipped slightly. But given this opportunity without Hooper in the way, I’m liking Henry to find the end zone. It’s not out of the realm of possibility to see the Jets stack the line of scrimmage late, and Henry would be left without much resistance in that spot.
