Beware creepy coffins in an exclusive Hellboy comic from Mike Mignola and Ben Stenbeck
PLAYBOY teamed up with Mike Mignola, creator of the Hellboy Universe, for “Return of the Lambton Worm,” an original comic he wrote exclusively for PLAYBOY magazine’s May/June 2018 issue, with artist Ben Stenbeck providing the artwork.
Mignola released the first Hellboy series, Seed of Destruction, in 1994, introducing the world to the Right Hand of Doom, the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, and one of the most iconic comic book characters—and universes—of all time. For more than 20 years, Mignola and a host of celebrated writers and artists have chronicled the adventures of Hellboy as he faced his supposed destiny as Beast of the Apocalypse, exploring the mysterious backstories of B.P.R.D. agents, including Professor Trevor Bruttenholm and Abe Sapien, along the way. This month, Dark Horse Books published Mignola’s award-winning Hellboy stories in chronological order for the first time ever in the Hellboy Omnibus Collection.
